The Transport and Urban Development Authority, through its TDA Constitution By-Law, is responsible for planning, costing, contracting, regulating, monitoring, evaluating, communicating, managing and maintaining the City of Cape Town's transport infrastructure, systems, operations, facilities and network.
TDA is the custodian and authority responsible for the entire ambit of the transport and related infrastructure in Cape Town. TDA aims to improve the transport system in a pioneering, industrious and fair manner, through setting the standards and managing a complex environment. It is also required to regulate efficient, safe, integrated, intermodal and inter-operable transport systems, as well as ensuring performance-oriented service delivery for all citizens and visitors to Cape Town. Our focus is to invest in a new transport legacy for Cape Town, South Africa.
