The City of Cape Town has completed the installation of roofing and glass panels to cover the exposed walkways at the MyCiTi stations in Atlantis and Table View.

These two stations are extremely busy, and count among the most popular within the MyCiTi network.

New roofing and glass façade panels have been installed to cover exposed walkways at the MyCiTi stations in Atlantis and Table View. These renovations provide additional enclosure, increasing passenger comfort to commuters and school children who queue in the link sections during peak travel times while waiting for buses.

Previously, the three walkways connecting the four platforms at the MyCiTi station in Atlantis and the three platforms at the station in Table View were exposed.

This project received the Best Facility Award at the 2019 Transport Directorate Award ceremony. Which recognizes teams managing PTIs, stations, depots etc. who provided superior quality service to the community in a helpful and timely manner and showed attention and responsiveness to customer needs.
